Rolf C. Hagen Inc. is the world's largest privately-owned, multi-national pet products manufacturer and distributor.

As Quality and Food Safety Coordinator, you will help manage pet food compliance for the North American market. You will coordinate routine testing and lead routine review of product characteristics to ensure specifications are met. You will assist in review of product performance; identifying compliance and regulatory issues and working with the global quality team to correct them. The successful applicant must be organized, detail oriented and have up-to-date knowledge and experience relating to food safety and quality.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Arrange testing for food nutritional and microbiological testing, palatability studies and others as needed.
- Create and maintain product technical data sheets for internal & external review.
- Arrange and execute internal product testing against product technical data sheets to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Review, save and file results of external and internal product testing.
- Assist in handling requests from other departments concerning product quality and safety
- Support vendor management by gathering and updating existing vendor documentation.
- Support in creation & management of packaging and product information databases.
- Support for Quality Management projects
- Support investigation of issues regarding product quality, warranty and liability statement, customer complaints or any other product issues and work with third party factory personnel to resolve these issues.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements**:

- Industry experience in the safety and quality of pet food or human food.
- B.Sc. Food Science, Nutrition, or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with others across and communicate effectively and professionally.
- Experience with product technical data sheets, SOPs and managing quality documentation methodically an asset.
- Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English; proficiency in French is an asset.
