**JOHN NOBLE HOME BACKGROUND**

The **John Noble Home **(JNH) is a “Class A” facility and has a proud and long-standing care-giving tradition, dating back to 1881. Today, we offer several different quality programs devoted to senior housing, care, and services that operate within our care campus. All meet and serve the needs of both Brant County and the City of Brantford and their respective constituents as we are a municipally operated and governed facility. The John Noble Home consists of 156 long term care beds with planned expansion, a community-based day & stay program and senior’s apartments.

The Incumbent will work under the supervision of the Resident Care Coordinator and is responsible for the onboarding, orientation and management of student placements in compliance with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Homes Act and Regulations and LTC home-specific policies. To facilitate and manage student placements, the Student Placement Lead will act as the liaison between the LTC home and educational institutions.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES **(but not limited to):

- Develop new or maintain existing partnerships with colleges and universities for the successful placement of students in the LTC home
- Assist Resident Care Coordinator in collecting and processing mandatory documentation required from students
- Plan and execute orientation to the LTC home, including, but not limited to, providing tours and introducing students to residents and team members
- Promote and recruit team members into a preceptor role
- Coordinate the placement schedule and pair students with preceptor team members in consultation with the Director of Care

**KEY QUALIFICATIONS **(but not limited to):

- Community College Diploma in business, health studies, administration, or related field
- At least one year of current related experience in project coordination or management
- Experience engaging with organizational partners
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Knowledge of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Homes Act and Regulations
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of electronic documentation

**COMPENSATION**:
This position is a temporary full time, one-year contract position with compensation ranging between $26.33-$27.66 per hour plus vacation pay and compensation in lieu of benefits.
