**About the Role**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security through **SevOne, ExtraHop**, SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Cisco DNA Center, etc.) tools.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve **network incidents (L1/L2 severity)** within established SLAs.
- Respond to **Sev1 alerts and escalations**, perform root cause analysis, and document corrective actions.
- Manage and maintain core **Cisco network devices** — routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and VPN gateways.
- Perform **configuration, upgrades, and patch management** across network components.
- Troubleshoot **LAN/WAN**, **VPN**, and **data center connectivity** issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Security, Cloud, Application, and Systems) to resolve complex incidents.
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior network engineers or vendors as required.
- Generate reports on network uptime, incident trends, and capacity utilization.
- Support **change management processes**, ensuring mínimal disruption to business operations.
- Maintain and update **network documentation, topology diagrams, and SOPs**.
**Required Skills and Experience**
- **4+ years** of experience in **Network Operations, NOC, or Network Support**.
- Strong working knowledge of **Cisco networking equipment and IOS/NX-OS platforms**.
- Hands-on experience with **network monitoring and troubleshooting tools** such as:
- Sev1, ExtraHop, SolarWinds, Wireshark, NetFlow, or Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
- Familiarity with **routing and switching protocols** (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLAN, MPLS).
- Experience in handling **incident management** and **24/7 NOC environments**.
- Understanding of **network security fundamentals** (ACLs, VPNs, Firewalls).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple high-priority incidents simultaneously.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- **Cisco Certifications**: CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent level of knowledge.
- Experience with **ITSM tools** (ServiceNow, Remedy) for incident tracking.
- Exposure to **cloud networking (AWS, Azure)** and **SD-WAN solutions**.
- Knowledge of **scripting (Python, Bash)** for automation is an asset.
**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in **Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field**.
- Relevant certifications (Cisco, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent) are preferred.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: $55.00-$60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
