**Service Writer**

Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused and highly driven Service Writer. We are looking for a qualified and responsible individual to fill our position. Must be efficient, reliable, organized; work well with others and have good phone manners.

**Responsibilities**:

- Effectively communicate with customers to identify unit issues and determine services needed. Listening to customer's descriptions of the symptoms; clarifying descriptions of problems. Conducting inspections, checking unit maintenance records and assess unit for repair.
- Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and prior service papers. Explaining provisions and exclusions for service required.
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor to calculate customer payment.
- Prepares repair order by describing symptoms, problems and causes discovered.
- provide excellent service by explaining estimates and expected return of the unit. Obtain customers approval of estimates, provide contact telephone number and confirms.
- Initiate timely communications with the customer regarding the vehicle service process.
- Ensure that all service-related documentation is properly completed and executed including related information.

**Education/Experience**

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
