Quality Assurance Technician

Delta, Canada North Delta Seafoods Ltd. Full time

Reporting to the the Quality Assurance Manager, the QA Assistant will assume the following responsibilities:

- Performing daily monitoring and verification tasks as outlined in HACCP and GMPs.
- Conducting environmental monitoring and product lab samples for testing
- Inspecting product on arrival, in inventory and prior to shipping
- Preparing QA inspection reports and recommendations
- Verifying weight, temperature, size, package and pallet integrity of product
- Reporting food safety and quality problems to the Quality Assurance/Plant Manager
- Participating and assisting Quality Assurance Manager when needed
- Completing special projects and other duties as assigned by management
- Reporting non-compliances and make thorough decisions on corrective actions
- Other duties as required

**Experience/Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in the food processing industry
- Knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Assurance practices
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory and quality system requirements
- HACCP, Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), and GFSI
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to work flexible hours, to work alone or with a mínimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure, challenging environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrate analytical, problem solving and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a collaborative team

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
