Job Description**
Key Responsibilities**:

- Take instructions from Supervisor
- Read cutting orders
- Check the cut information called in the program and ensure the styles and sizes are correct
- Check the cycle according to cutting order. Ensure cutting machine is set up according to ply height speed and reciprocation speed
- Check material (fabrics) if complete prior to cutting
- Report immediately to the Supervisor any issues
- Ensure proper safety procedures are followed
- Check quality while machine is cutting. See if fabric is burning after cut.
- Ensure a clean and safe workstation
**Education, Qualifications and Experience**:

- Grade 12
- Experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
**Knowledge, Skills and Attributes**:

- Understanding of numbers and measurements
- Basic computer skills a must
- Good command of English is required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Standing or walking for 8 hours
- Working knowledge of production functions
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and works well under pressure
- Must have a strong work ethic with a proactive approach to the role
- Detailed oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
- Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision
