**Tasks**:

- Cut fur skins according to specifications
- Number pelts to indicate their place on pattern
- Sort or match fur skins
- Select leather and cutting dies
- Position leather according to grain, flaws and stretch
- Operate machine or manually fabricate leather products
- Cut and prepare fabric, leather and fur samples
- Adjust cutting technique to type of fabric and style of garment
**Equipment and machinery experience**:

- Furrier knives and cutters
- Manual leather knives or cutters
**Work conditions and physical capabilities**:

- Attention to detail
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking
- Bending, crouching, kneeling
- Ability to distinguish between colours
