Computer Systems Technician

triOS College Business Technology Healthcare Inc. is actively seeking a **Computer Systems Technician - Network Systems Instructor** to join our team at the** Mississauga campus located inside Square One Mall**..

**Primary Purpose**:
The primary purpose of the instructor position is to plan, organize and deliver curriculum to students in an instructor led environment. The instructor will be responsible to teach and facilitate courses to classes of students in the Computer Systems Technician - Network Systems two-year diploma program. The instructor will evaluate student performance relating to the curricula using a variety of assessments. The instructor will assist with activities to support student success, including student internship and job placement, industry liaison and administrative functions when required.

The Computer Systems Technician - Network Systems Instructor will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication and readiness; embracing diversity and fostering inclusion.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare daily lesson plans.
- Ensure that class delivery is optimized for the specific course delivery methods: online or in class.
- Prepare lecture/lab and class materials as required.
- Develop and/or utilize a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individualized learning styles of students.

**Qualifications**:

- University degree in Computer Science is required. Masters degree is preferred.
- Five (5) years of related work experience in the industry as a networking professional; theoretical and practical knowledge of the requisite hardware, software, and networking equipment used in lab settings.
- Experience installing and configuring computer operating systems, server operating systems, server operating systems and services.
- Professional CCNA or CCNP certification is preferred.
- Teaching experience is preferred; teaching areas include but are not limited to:

- Networks, connectivity, virtualization.
- Web languages: HTML/CSS code, forms and CGI.
- Database design and SQL.
- Networking: OSI model and TCP/IP.
- Linux and Network Protocols.
- Windows Desktop and Server.
- A degree or diploma in adult education is considered an asset.
- Understanding of Adult Learning Principles is preferred.
- Knowledge of D2L Brightspace or another learning management system is considered an asset.

**Hours of Work**:
The hours are 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm, Monday to Thursday

The scheduled start for this opportunity is immediate.
