Head Barista

**We are looking for a skilled, passionate Head Barista to join our team at Nemesis Coffee Polygon. As the Head Barista, not only can you maintain high operational standards, but you are also a mentor and active trainer for other baristas on your team. You will be responsible for organizing training sessions alongside our head coffee training, delivering high-quality beverages, and providing excellent hospitality in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Lead & Mentor**: Train, develop, and inspire a team of baristas, ensuring they meet Nemesis’ high standards of coffee execution and hospitality. You will be trained by our Head Coffee Trainer and will conduct team and individual training sessions as outlined in our internal training program.
- **Coffee Excellence**: Oversee coffee preparation and presentation, quality controlling all espresso and filter coffee offerings.
- **Inventory & Ordering**: Manage coffee inventory, including placing weekly orders from the Roastery while ensuring proper rotation.
- **Customer Experience**: Foster a welcoming atmosphere, engage with guests, and create memorable experiences with every interaction.
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Oversee daily and routine maintenance of all coffee equipment to ensure functionality and cleanliness.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the management team on menu development, new drink concepts, and improving store systems.
- **Uphold Standards**: Maintain adherence to Nemesis' operational protocols, health, and safety standards.

**Qualifications**:

- +3 years of specialty coffee experience, +1 years in a supervisory role.
- Passionate about specialty coffee.
- Enthusiastic about continuous learning and improvement in coffee trends and techniques.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a passion for teaching and mentorship.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 37 per week
