Sanitation Technician

**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of production areas, offices, lunchrooms, and restrooms.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wash floors to maintain hygiene standards.
- Empty garbage bins and recycling containers throughout the facility.
- Clean and sanitize high-touch areas (e.g., door handles, handrails, time clocks).
- Assist with equipment sanitation and deep-cleaning tasks during production shutdowns.
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report needs to supervisor.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and PPE.
- Immediately report maintenance or safety concerns, such as spills or hazards.
- Perform minor building maintenance tasks if required, such as changing lightbulbs, etc.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.

**Qualifications**
- Prior janitorial, sanitation, or industrial cleaning experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe handling of chemicals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols consistently.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically able to lift to 50 lbs., stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks.

**Work Environment**
- Fast-paced food production setting.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, wet floors, and varying temperatures.
- PPE provided and required.
