Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Planning, the Materials Planner is responsible for planning and purchasing of materials to support Copack production, Field Sales Merchandizing and Lindt Retail Store requirements by developing highly optimized plans that minimizes costs, adds efficiency and enables the organization to deliver its objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring the adequate supply of materials necessary by creating and managing purchase orders up to good receipt and invoice payment
- Partner with Copack, Demand & Supply, Retail and Marketing to gather necessary insights to make purchase and scheduling decisions
- Build relationships with suppliers and collaborate with them to manage inventory issues, schedule changes and capacity constraints - both production and space
- Develop and maintain inventory planning processes and targets for assigned materials
- Measure and perform root-cause analysis of suppliers on time delivery and lead action plans to improve, maintain supplier scorecards
- Report materials with quality issues to suppliers and following up on corrective actions
- Compile required material inventory reports for cross functional consumption
- Responsible for monthly material disposal process including item review & root cause for obsolescence as well as seeking executive approval and sending the final request to dispose
- Support the product life cycle process by suggesting material inventory plans on new product launches and discontinuations, including updating the item bill of materials where required
- Accountable for master data in maintenance for assigned materials
- Provide input into our standard costs based on optimized number of purchases on annual basis for the assigned products
- Continuous improvement for optimization on materials planning processes, systems and tools to drive supply chain efficiency
- Primary back-up to the Copack Planner

**Requirements**:

- Education & Experience: Post-secondary education in business/supply chain preferred, coupled with 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role; CPIM certification is a nice-to-have
- Analytical skills: ability to visualize, articulate, and solve both complex and uncomplicated problems and make decisions based on available information
- Results focused: Drive for achieving and surpassing targets. Passion and commitment to continuous improvement
- Customer focused: Demonstrate a commitment to service leading to satisfaction for internal and external customers
- Teamwork: Ability to work in a collaborative environment for collective goals
