Aircraft Maintenance Technician

**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on aircraft systems and components.
- Assemble and disassemble aircraft parts as needed for repairs.
- Interpret and work from schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform maintenance tasks effectively.
- Fabricate parts or components as required to ensure optimal aircraft performance.
- Perform heavy lifting of equipment or parts during maintenance procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities performed on aircraft.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in the aviation industry, others will be considered.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as part of routine maintenance tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Understanding of the Canadian Aviation Regulations a bonus.
- Certification or relevant training in aircraft maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $20.00-$34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

**Education**:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Maintenance: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- AME licence (M1 or M2) (preferred)
Willingness to travel:
- 100% (required)
