As a purchasing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment and supplies for our company.
**Are you excited about this work?**
- Use of the Company ERP system (Syteline) and purchase order systems to monitor and track progress of purchased materials against timelines and necessary requirements (Source Day).
- Managing invoices through the Concur financial system.
- Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements, price and acceptability of items to specifications.
- Coordinate and schedule on-site contractors for services related to building maintenance.
- Develop a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service. This includes qualifying vendors and establishing/maintaining a preferred vendor list.
- Resolve inquiries and provide solutions to other departments, vendors and customers.
- Arrange for disposal of surplus materials when necessary.
- Maintain strictest and absolute personal confidentiality regarding daily access to Company financial information.
- Assist with the receiving function as required

**If this sounds like you, we want to connect**
- Bachelor’s of Administration in Business with a focus on Supply Chain or similar
- 5+ years demonstrated experience in a purchasing role in a manufacturing environment;
- Must have prior experience in the purchasing function with an OEM manufacturer of custom automation equipment
- Proficient in procurement processes;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills which include presentation skills.
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office - Word/Excel, ERP systems)
- Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner;
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy;
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills;
