**Job Overview**
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Participate in daily employee relations and general human resources administration tasks
- Act as point of contact for all incoming employee inquiries and requests
- Maintain crucial internal documents, including but not limited to employee personnel files, job descriptions, policies and procedures, and work instructions
- Assist with the creation and execution of performance improvement plans, evaluations, and surveys; assessing the data and providing input towards action plans
- Maintain compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations, specifically including the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law
- Assist in the design, develop, and implement organizational tools and programs to support and promote employee engagement, moral, motivation, satisfaction, work/life balance, change management, and team effectiveness
- Partner with management to investigate employee relation issues
- Provide coaching to mitigate employee performance and issues
- Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and exit interviews
- Oversee the payroll process, providing back-up when needed
- Manage the full cycle recruitment process
- Develop and implement talent acquisition, succession planning, and retention initiatives
- Assist in the creation and development of job descriptions and job postings
- Evaluate existing training programs and initiatives; recommend improvements
- Assist in facilitating professional development opportunities for employees
- Oversee the occupational (WSIB) and non-occupational injuries and return-to-work process
- Administer company benefit plans
- Attend health and safety meetings regularly and update records, policies, and procedures
- Foster a safe and healthy work environment that focuses on positive team culture
- Ensure consistent high levels of communication are kept among management and employees, both in-house and remote, jumping in to provide support as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in HR related field combined with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
- CHRL or CHRP designation preferred
- Demonstrated ability to meet the strategic objectives for HR and the organization; to maintain and enhance our culture for our team
- Strong experience supporting full-cycle recruiting
- Highly organized with a great attention to detail
- Experience handling employee relations issues; conducting investigations considered a plus
- Strong knowledge of the Dayforce Ceridian platform
- Sound ownership, presentation, and teambuilding skills
- Knowledge of and the ability to interpret the ESA and other applicable legislations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to anticipate and manage change effectively
- A positive and proactive approach towards solving problems and meeting challenges
- Ability to learn the existing call answering platform to assist with the recruitment process
- Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
