We are seeking an energetic, dynamic individual to join our awesome team of Early Childhood Educators at YW Margie's Early Learning Centre

**Title**: Early Childhood Educator

**Reporting Line**: Reports directly to the Director of Early Childhood Education

**Qualifications, Experience & Skills**: University degree in family studies, or other relevant discipline or Child and Youth Care Worker / Early Childhood Diploma; fluent in English, knowledge of French is an asset. Experience working in field; demonstrated understanding of Early Childhood Development, NB Curriculum Framework, Early Childhood Services Act and Licensing Regulations including the corresponding New Brunswick Operator Manual for Full-Time and Part-Time Early Learning and Childcare Centers, Family Services Act 83-85;
**Knowledge, Skills and Attributes**:

- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, non-judgmental and enthusiastic.
- Must be capable of withstanding heavy workload with multiple demands on time.
- Ability to switch rapidly from one project to another and meet changes in deadlines.

**Position Duties and Responsibilities**:Employee performs duties within established vision, mission, policy guidelines, goals and objectives that relate to YWCA Moncton, YW Margie’s Early Learning Centre and YW Friends Academy.

**Program Delivery**
- Work closely with supervisor, and other team members to ensure program outcomes are met.
- Provide a rich and stimulating early learning environment to meet the developmental needs of the children in care.
- Create and deliver enriched early learning programs for children.
- Provide active listening to children and parents, when needed.
- Complete required documents (attendance records, exclusion forms, documentation)
- Consult with supervisor regarding children’s’ progress, behavior, challenges, and supports required.
- Identify and develop additional resources for the Early Learning Centre.
- Collaborate with supervisor and YW Margie’s Early Learning Team to further develop program components
- Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of work environment, including toys, floors, food prep area, etc.
- Effective, appropriate, and respectful use of technology and social media
- Participate in agency-related outreach sessions, initiatives, or events

**Special Condition of Employment**: Must be able to successfully completed Vulnerable Sector /Social Development checks; and First Aid/CPR training.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to $25.35 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
