**$16.47 - $25.35 per hour**

**Job Summary**:
As an Early Childhood Educator, your primary responsibility is to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can learn and grow. You will be responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children ages birth to five years. Additionally, you will work closely with parents and other staff members to ensure the holistic well-being of each child in your care.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**NB Curriculum Framework**: Implement NB Curriculum framework and activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.

**Classroom Management**: create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, respected, and valued. Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.

**Individualized Learning**: Recognize and support the individual needs and learning styles of each child. Provide personalized attention and assistance as needed.

**Parent Communication**: Establish and maintain open and effective communication with parents, including regular updates on their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.

**Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with other educators and staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the early childhood program. Participate in team meetings, professional development activities, and staff training sessions.

**Observation and Assessment**: Conduct ongoing observation and assessment of children's development and progress. Use assessment data to inform curriculum planning and individualized instruction.

**Health and Safety**: Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the program. Adhere to licensing regulations and maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.**

**Parent Education**: Provide parents with resources, guidance, and support to enhance their understanding of child development and parenting techniques.

**Professional Development**: Stay current with best practices in early childhood education through professional development opportunities, workshops, and continuing education courses.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles, best practices in early childhood education and NB Curriculum Framework
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- First Aid and CPR
- Clean Criminal Record Check and Social Development Check**

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry young children and classroom materials.
- Stamina to stand, walk, and engage in physical activities for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity to operate classroom equipment and assist children with tasks.**

**Working Conditions**:

- Work hours may vary and include early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
- Exposure to noise, messy play areas, and potential exposure to childhood illnesses.
- Interaction with children with diverse backgrounds and abilities.**
