**Beverage and Dining Manager - Full Time**
- Be driven to provide a consistently exceptional Member experience, possess a high level of maturity, and uphold the highest standards of service, etiquette, and presentation in all dining and beverage areas.
- Exhibit a poised and professional presence at all times, demonstrating discretion, maturity, and a service-first mindset.
- Personally greet Members and guests in lounges and dining rooms, maintaining an atmosphere of warmth, recognition, and quiet efficiency.
- Remain fully informed of all Club events and operations; provide accurate direction and information to Members and their guests throughout the Clubhouse.
- Manage and assist with the service and preparation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as required; ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to Club standards.
- Prepare daily beverage _mise en place_ for private functions, ensuring all materials and ingredients are properly set in advance of scheduled events.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs of all relevant areas (lounges, dining rooms) to ensure cleanliness, readiness, and alignment with Club protocols.
- Monitor and manage daily inventory of beverages and ancillary items; implement and enforce inventory control measures and requisition processes with precision.
- Perform and reconcile monthly beverage inventories, maintaining accurate stock levels and reporting discrepancies to senior management.
- Provide effective leadership and support to service staff; work independently when required while maintaining responsiveness to evolving Member needs.
- Execute routine end-of-day and security walk-throughs of the Clubhouse to ensure order, safety, and the proper closing of all service areas.
- Serve as a point of continuity and quality control for daytime food and beverage operations, contributing to the Club’s tradition of excellence and hospitality.
- Perform all other related duties assigned by the Director of Operations and/or the Chief Operating Officer.
Necessary skills include professional written and verbal communication, ability to work within a team environment, lead by example, and meet deadlines. Interpersonal skills to foster positive relations with Members, guests and fellow employees are essential.

**Education Qualifications (which you may currently have or be willing to complete)**:
- You must hold, or be willing to obtain, valid AGCO Smart Serve certification.
- You must complete the Ministry of Labour Health and Safety Awareness Supervisor Program, if not already certified.
**Reporting**:
The Beverage and Dining Manager reports directly to the Food and Beverage Manager, while also supporting specific responsibilities of the Director of Operations.
**Date Position Available**:
On or around August 25, 2025, with two weeks of hands-on training with the current Beverage Manager.

**About Toronto Club**
Toronto Club is Canada’s oldest private club in Canada, and third oldest in North America. Founded in 1837, it has occupied its purpose-built clubhouse since 1889. The Club is located in downtown Toronto in the heart of the financial district. The clubhouse is one of the best-preserved Victorian buildings in Toronto. It was recognized as a heritage property by the City of Toronto in 1984 and by the Ontario Heritage Foundation in 2002.
The Clubhouse is a 40,000 square foot, five-storey building that has been maintained in excellent condition. The facilities include four lounges, a formal à la carte dining room seating 95 (130 for private functions), a less formal à la carte dining room, five private dining rooms seating from two to fifty persons, and a fully stocked 13,000-bottle wine cellar. The Club’s rooms are richly decorated and furnished and house an outstanding collection of Canadian paintings and prints.
