**Job Title**:Prep Cook

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Prep of pre-made sandwiches, salads, bulk ingredients and mixes
- Prep of house soups or chilis, sauces, dressings and syrups
- Prep of catering platters as needed
- Assist in planning and executing specials and menu updates or changes
- Collaborate with Café Management on choice of recipes and ingredients
- Communicating recipe updates or new recipes with management & the team
- Implement, uphold and help develop food standardization and stock quotas
- Assist with writing of food & drink preparation instructions for all staff
- Collaborate with Café Management on prepped food and ingredient inventory tracking, ordering
- Help monitor and minimize food waste, utilize and maintain waste systems and management
- Monitoring quality of ingredient stock, prepared food and drink items
- Use and basic care and maintenance for tools, machinery and equipment used in food prep (such as oven, food processor, blender, etc.), identifying needs and opportunities for improvements with regards to food & drink tools and equipment
- Maintaining of a clean working area and ensuring workspaces are primed for café operations
- Be attentive to food trends, target clientele tastes & interests, customer and staff feedback

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-25 per week
