Summary:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Operations Supervisor will supervise production operations and team in accordance with production schedules and standards that achieve requirements for safety, regulatory compliance, environment, quality, customer service and cost. As part of the Plant’s leadership team, contributes to building and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.

An important competency and role is to be able and welling to come with solutions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accountable for planning, organising and running day-to-day operations to meet productivity goals.
- Ensure optimum utilisation of workforce time and abilities to their total capacity.
- Cost management; develop reports and recommendations to track and minimise unnecessary costs and waste.
- Seek and Maintain high production output and keep records of animal yield and production trends.
- Accountable for maximising the value and yield of the purchased product and meeting all regulatory criteria.
- Set operation and team allocations to meet delivery schedules.
- Provide coaching, cross-training, addressing and resolution of employee-related issues and concerns within the framework of the Company’s policies, ensuring consistency in dealing with employee issues;
- Accountable for ensuring the Health and Safety of employees by utilising tools such as regular safety talks, administering first aid, prompt and detailed incident investigations and follow-up on recommended corrections.
- Accountable for Maintainance and providing the needed training and guidance for conducting and documenting proper preventive and break-down maintenance.
- Accountable for sustaining updated inventory records and making production decisions accordingly.
- Provide periodical reports and dashboards for production, safety, inventory, cost and maintenance per the Plant manager's directions and priorities.
- Ensure that all food safety and quality assurance policies and procedures are followed and documented timely and correct.
- Keep staff trained, aware, updated and accountable for food safety regulations.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

- Supervising: 3 years (required)
