Operations Supervisor, Inventory

**Core Purpose and Essence of the Position**:
Supervisor, Inventory Control will be responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy through robust cycle count processes, continuous training of users and transaction audits. The Inventory Control Supervisor will be the primary customer contact for all inventory related enquiries and has the potential to grow in responsibility as the position evolves.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Operations**:
- Directly supervise and implement day to day facility operations and administration
- Ensure that warehouse functions of the operation perform in a manner consistent with company procedures and objectives and exceed client expectations
- Ensure all staff are provided sufficient training to achieve goals set out by the Company
- Thorough understanding and supervision of all warehouses inbound and outbound process flows
- Ensures all inventory cycle counting and physical inventories are being coordinated as defined by the customer
- Responsible for training employees on inventory management and cycle counting processes
- Ensures that all inventory transactions and stock status reports are completed on a timely basis
- Develop and implement methods to maintain accurate inventory levels at the facility
- Recognizes and takes steps to resolve inventory issues in order to minimize the impact on operations
- Research inventory discrepancies and provide root cause analysis
- Recommend process improvements needing adjustment identified through root cause analysis
- Conduct incidental audits of orders and receipts including location audits to preserve the integrity of the Warehouse Management System.
**People Management**:
- Hold associates accountable to company and client expectations
- Train to achieve the highest standards of proficiency in handling of the Warehouse Management System
- Ensure that employees meet the KPI expectations and goals
- Conduct daily briefings for the team, both at commencement and close of business
- Schedule labour in strict accordance with operational requirements, strive to always reduce overtime and temporary labor
- Operate with a client first model and ensure all client requests and expectations are effectively and promptly met, and in keeping with the contract
- Verify all associated warehousing paperwork and documentation and ensure transaction accuracy and data integrity
- Cooperates with all departments to ensure a coordinated work relationship exists at all times
- Provide professional customer service and respond to client requests promptly and report feedback to management
- Communicate with Operations Management, Peers and Subordinates to achieve short and long term goals
- Serve as a backup Warehouse Supervisor during the absence of other Supervisors.
**Safety**:
- Keep all information and visual aids updated on notice boards and in the work area
- Ensure that all material handling equipment (Forklifts, Battery Chargers, etc.) is properly cared for, maintained, checked and documented, and handled with utmost care and safety
- Understanding and experience of Accident Investigation Analysis and Follow up
- Ensure all staff comply with all Safety expectations set out by Company policy
- Maintain the highest standards of safety, housekeeping and 5S, and retain a clean, safe and secure work area.
**PRIMARY INTERACTIONS**:
The primary exchange will be working with management team, Team Lead, Inventory Controller and Warehouse Operator.
