Building Maintenance Technician

Yorkton Group is a full-service real estate company and an Award-winning developer with over 3 decades of business in real estate investment, development and asset management.

We are now seeking a full-time experienced Building Maintenance Technician to anchor the growth in our property management division.

**Duties**

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Performs preventive maintenance and corrective repairs to ensure the buildings provide a world-class experience for tenants;
- Performs basic plumbing, minor HVAC and electrical work;
- Performs repair and basis renovation, including but not limited to, painting, drywalling, carpentry, and installing floor covering;
- Performs ground keeping, lawn maintenance, snow shoveling, technical cleaning and disposal of garbage, debris and unwanted items;
- Troubleshoots facility problems and coordinate with contractors and service providers;
- Pickup and delivery of building materials and supplies
- Pickup and deliver equipment, appliances and furniture as required
- Ensures compliance with health and safety legislation, and other legislative standards;
- Be available to participate in an emergency on-call rotation;
- Performs other related work as assigned.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant building maintenance experience;
- Secondary school education;
- Communicate well in English, both verbally and reading/writing;
- Have valid driver’s license with own vehicle;
- Have own hand tools and cell phone;
- Be able to clear a criminal background check;
- Self-motivated with strong team spirit and solid interpersonal skills;
- Be physically fit, as daily requirements may involve lifting, bending, crouching, pulling, and climbing;
- Operate Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory management.
- Desirable to have WHMIS and first aid certifications, and knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
