Building Maintenance Technician

**Position Summary**
The Building Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. The responsibilities include repairs and maintenance responsibilities in Main Office/Shop, Machine Shop, Fabrication Shop, Estimating/Engineering offices, Accounting offices and Field Services offices. The position is Monday to Friday - 7:30am to 4:00pm daily.
- Combined Compensation Rate Detail for Maintenance Position is **$38.36/hour**
- Employee Base Rate: $30.27 hourly
- $1.51 Hourly (Based on 5% Statutory Holiday pay)
- $1.21 Hourly (Based on 4% Vacation pay)
- $3.00 Hourly RRSP Contribution (after 3 months)
- $2.37 Hourly Equivalent of Health/Dental/STD/LTD Benefits Package (after 3 months)
- Saturdays are 1.5X and Sundays are 2X base rate when available

**Reporting Relationships**
The Building Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager

**Principal Duties, Responsibilities and Accountability**
- Receive direction on all projects from Maintenance Manager (or Assistant Maintenance Manager)
- Repair and maintenance in areas such as mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Work on projects by themselves or with others in maintenance department.
- Adheres to established policies and procedures, including safety rules and safe working practices.

**Measures of Performance**
Managers will communicate consistently about projects being completed and will offer feedback or support when needed.

**Qualifications**
The following qualifications are desirable to ensure success in this position.
- Ability to use general maintenance tools, supplies and equipment.
- Physically fit and can lift up to 50 lbs.
- Self motivated
- Must have a valid driver’s license.

**Salary**: $30.27-$38.36 per hour
