Halifax Seed is currently seeking an experienced **Accounts Payable Specialist** to join our team in Halifax. This is a full-time permanent position (Monday to Friday), reporting directly to the CFO.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage the full Accounts Payable Cycle.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Reconciliation and processing of all Vendor invoices and payments.
- Vendor set up and relationship management
- Reconciliation and processing of employee expenses and corporate credit cards
- GL Account Reconciliations for Accounts payable accounts
- Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process
- Filing and other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum 2 years working experience in Accounts Payable
- Experience with ERP system - specific experience with SysPro would be an asset
- Solid understanding of the principles of accounting and bookkeeping
- Effective communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate or above)
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team, as well as independently
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
- Ability to embrace changes in process and adapt effectively
- Post-secondary education in Business or Accounting is an asset
