WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Reporting to the Director, Facilities, Capital Planning & Development, the Project Coordinator will support the planning, execution, control and closure of assigned capital projects within approved budgets and schedules.

This position will provide guidance and support to the project team and interface with project consultants and PRHC staff, physicians and volunteers.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

- Baccalaureate degree; or combination of education and work experience
- Minimum five (5) years recent experience in the health care construction sector
- Previous involvement in supporting facility/space planning of large complex facilities
- Previous involvement in supporting large office/hospital relocations

WHO YOU ARE:

- General knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Ministry of Labour Regulations, CSA Standards, Ontario Building Code and Fire Code
- Hands-on experience using Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) for large construction projects
- Broad understanding of all construction disciplines and general construction practices
- General knowledge of facilities / space planning of large complex facilities
- General budget and financial management skills
- General knowledge of the BPS Procurement Directive
- Strong team building skills to achieve organizational goals; communicates with and motivates a team to achieve results
- Strong facilitating and negotiation skills to resolve conflict
- Excellent organizational and time management skills required to adjust to and meet unpredictable deadlines or changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with medical/ administrative staff at various levels at PRHC and consulting professionals
- Impeccable judgement and above average creativity, ingenuity, tact and diplomacy.
- Strong analytical skills required to compile and analyze data, create and manage reports, and recommend course of action
- Excellent writing skills required for generating reports and communications for government, professional groups and other key stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient with space planning and design software (i.e. Chief Architect, Visio, Adobe, CAD)
