Powerline Construction Labourer/operator

RAHCAR Power Corp. Is a growing company in the Powerline Construction and Maintenance Industry. We are looking for two highly-motivated individuals to join our team as a **Powerline Construction Labourer/Operator**, based out of Grande Prairie Alberta working province wide.

You will be working with a team of talented Powerline Technicians, assisting with the construction of overhead/underground distribution lines, transmission lines, communication lines, and low-pressure gas lines.

Opportunity for apprenticeship: If you demonstrate good work ethic and maintain a positive attitude, you can advance to our Apprenticeship Powerline Technician program (optional), as vacancies become available.

**Responsibilities**:

- Comply with company policies, ensure safe and productive completion of tasks.
- Assist with duties related to the installation and repair of overhead and underground power lines.
- Operation and general maintenance of equipment/vehicles.
- Operate manual and power tools.
- Ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Valid class 3 driver’s license.
- Strong safety focus.
- Excellent interpersonal, team participation and communication skills.
- Local to Grande Prairie or able to relocate prior to beginning position.
- Must be able to comfortably perform physical tasks (lifting 50 pounds, pulling cable etc) and able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work out of town periodically.

**A few qualifications that would help you succeed**:

- Experience operating a derrick digger truck.
- A passion for your work and a drive for excellence.
- Standard First Aid and H2S Alive training

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
