Great news We’re currently seeking a **Quality Assurance Analyst** to be based at our Mississauga, Ontario office.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing features.
- Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, performance, manual, and user acceptance testing.
- Specifically, design and execute test cases to rigorously validate access control systems, including role-based access control (RBAC), attribute-based access control (ABAC), and other authorization mechanisms.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure testability.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Automate test cases using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Protractor, TestNG, Junit, Cucumber, Gherkin, SoapUI, SauceLabs, JMeter, Postman, Rest Assure, WebDriverIO, Zephyr.
- Analyze test results, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry’s best practices and emerging technologies in QA and access control.
**Qualifications**:
- Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with Access Control concepts, including authentication, authorization, single sign-on (SSO), and identity management.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with physical devices, spanning early adoption prototypes to final products.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency in designing and executing test cases specifically for access control scenarios (e.g., verifying user permissions, role changes, privilege escalation attempts).
- Familiarity with security testing principles is a plus.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, GitHub, Confluence, MIRO etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
