We are currently looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Analyst to join our busy and growing manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be engaged in elevating the department and company to the next level. The incumbent will be forward looking and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement.

General Accountability:

Reporting directly to the Quality Systems Manager, the Sr. Supplier QA Analyst, will maintain a best-in-class supplier quality program that will drive supplier quality performance by implementation of appropriate quality controls, statistical process control, and continuous improvement. This role also works closely with the Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality Control teams.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- Provide subject matter expertise on supplier quality assurance, in all aspects of new or existing supplier engagement, including selection, onboarding and/or disengagement

- Lead FAI (First Article Inspection) approval process as per business time schedule and work closely with cross functions to start from design review until FAI samples qualification

- Collaborate with the engineering and quality control teams to continuously improve the incoming inspection process

- Manage supplier 8D process for root cause analysis and corrective action implementation

- Develop suppliers’ quality management system with a long-term target to meet and exceed Romet quality expectations, including conducting regular supplier onsite process / product audits to ensure design for quality is embedded in the daily business

- Identify risk in supplier’s manufacturing processes and systems, partner with supply chain in the execution of supplier risk mitigation efforts

- Update, monitor, and report on the responsible suppliers’ quality performance indexes

- Present supplier scorecard regularly to the management team (internal/external) with continuous improvement initiatives launched

- Conduct new supplier onsite quality assessment audit as per supply chain team request, create and submit Supplier Audit Reports to management for review and approval as well as maintain and upload the package into designated database

- Travel at least 50% of the time, via car to visit suppliers on a regular basis or on an as-needed basis

- All other duties and projects as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

- Excellent understanding of ISO 9001/AS 9100 standards and quality management system

- Detail oriented and data driven analytical and problem-solving skills with process thinking approach

- Advanced knowledge of computer/software (JMP or Minitab, Microsoft Office, etc.)

- Advanced knowledge to read, understand and interpret 2D and 3D drawings, including geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

- Ability to set priorities and handle multiple priorities and be a self-starter

- Excellent English language communication skills (both verbal and written)

- Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills, presentation skills are considered an asset

- Excellent project management skills

- Strong desires to learn new products and processes under gas meter manufacturing environment

- Proficient in tools such as PPAP, Control Plans, FMEA, Sampling Plan, MSA and SPC

- Must have a readily available vehicle and valid driver license to be able to travel to supplier sites/locations

- Proven ability of developing supplier quality system through training, coaching, and continuous improvement activities

Educational/Experience Requirements:

- College or University degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics or Industrial Engineering

- Minimum of 5 years' experience in supplier quality assurance within assembly, manufacturing environment

- Six Sigma Green Belt or knowledge of, with proven ability in hands-on problem-solving practices

- Experience in casting/extrusion/electronics assembly (i.e. PCBA)/machining/Injection mold is preferred

- Extensive knowledge and hands on experience leading supplier onsite audits and NCR management
