Urban Nature Store is seeking a part-time Team Member for our Mississauga store located at 3055 Dundas St W (at Winston Churchill) Required Skills and Qualifications - 1 year of retail or service related experience (Pet, birding or garden sector experience would be an asset) - An interest in wild birding - Strong retail merchandising skills - Open availability - Days, evenings & weekends. - Ability to read, write and speak English - Basic math skills as it relates to retail sales - Intermediate computer skills - Ability to work independently - Ability to lift 50 lbs bags - Have a reliable means of transportation to and from the store - Enthusiasm for learning and personal growth. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be responsible for: - interacting with customers and providing superior customer service, including recommending appropriate products and demonstrating their proper usage. - processing transactions on a computerized POS system - accepting all forms of payments (cash, debit, credit) - processing returns and exchanges - assisting with the maintenance of several Google spreadsheets - promotion of our loyalty rewards program - receiving bi-weekly shipments - filling seed from master to smaller bags - maintaining a clean, organized and well-merchandised store **Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent Part-time hours: 20-30 per week **Salary**: From $15.50 per hour Additional pay: - Bonus pay Schedule: - Day shift - Every Weekend - Monday to Friday - Weekend availability COVID-19 considerations: The safety of our Team Members and customers is our top priority.
