**Monday to Friday (40 hours)**

- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am to 15h30pm (40 hours)
- Hourly rate: $22.47
- 4 personal days

**Role and responsibilities**

According to production needs, the Machine Set Up Assistant (OP2 Plus) performs a variety of tasks, as follows:

- Set up production equipment; install print plates
- **Feed heavy, awkward sized sheets of corrugated cardboard into equipment on a highly repetitive basis 90% of the time**:

- Prepare, clean and return tooling/print plates to and from storage
- Monitor and remedy all quality issues
- Strip scrap from boxes and foam sheets / use band saw
- Bale scrap / Keep a clean safe working area
- Palletize / Unitize product / Counting inventory
- Complete Quality Reports and other required documentation
- Other tasks as assigned.

**Required knowledge and experience**
- High school diploma and experience in a similar role is an asset
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Must have basic computer skills
- Technically capable to learn and operate production equipment
- Capacity to read and understand drawings and specifications
- Fluent with basic measurements with both metric and imperial systems and conversion capabilities
- Previous use of Amtech System an asset

**Required skills and abilities**
- Exhibit safe work ethics is a must
- Have a positive, engaged contributor style attitude and communications
- Quick learner with technical aspects of work and with production equipment
- Must be organized, teamwork, detail and quality oriented
- Previous work experience / training / education is an asset

**Other requirements**

This is an **extremely physically demanding position.** Requiring constant lifting up to 50Lbs, bending with weight in your hands, reaching with weight in your hands. The position requires walking and standing on cement floors. Some tasks may require kneeling, as well as work outside and inside.
