**CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE | FOOD IMPORTATION & DISTRIBUTION**

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Process customer orders and allocate products according to established policies & procedures (various channels - Corporate Chain, Distributors (Retail & Food Service) and Independent Retailers
- Validate customer specific pricing upon confirmation of orders
- Communicate with internal departments regarding pricing and customer queries and requests
- Proactive communication with customers to answer any inquiries & resolve any issues
- Provide timely feedback to & work cohesively with various departments (Sales, Operations, Inventory Management, Accounting, Marketing & Procurement) regarding any customer service concerns and expectations
- Address and resolve customer complaints when necessary
- Responding to internal & external customers and vendors - provide information, review inventory, lot numbers, best before dates
- Other duties and/or administrative tasks assigned as needed
- Backup for other team members in department as required

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum Secondary School
- 3 years customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access & Teams. Willing to learn other
- IT SYSTEMS: CITRIX, VISUALIZATION
- Willingness to address difficult situations and provide potential solutions
- Ability to assess and prioritize tasks to respond to urgent and time sensitive matters as they arise
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Exceptional organizational & interpersonal skills
- Good Math skills, Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Customer service and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve problems independently
- Positive work attitude and value of high level customer service
- **Prior experience in the food distribution industry is a requirement**

**Schedule**: Onsite, Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (1/2-hour lunch)
