**About the Position**

The **Part Time Accounts Payable Clerk**, under the supervision and direction of the Director of Finance is responsible for execution of office and filing procedures, accounting principles, that are focused on accounts payable. Working closely with the Director, accounts receivable and other departments the Part Time Accounts Payable Clerk will ensure invoices are verified, and entered in the general ledger system.

**What** **You’ll Be Doing**
- Review and verify invoices, assign appropriate coding and obtain approval prior to processing.
- Communicate with vendors for any discrepancies on invoices.
- Reconcile vendor account statements and credit card.
- Print all accounts payable cheques in CAD & USD.
- Ordering Office supplies.
- Assisting Accounts Receivable department as needed.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
- Answer telephone and electronic inquiries and relay telephone calls and messages

**What You Bring to the Role**
- Minimum of two years experience in a similar role, a college diploma in an Accounting related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Knowledge of accounting principals, specifically accounts payables
- Working knowledge of computer systems and related software programs including accounting software and a high proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team

**Work Conditions**
- On site
- Interaction with customers/clients, and the public at large
- Occasional overtime
- Office environment

**Salary**:$20 - $24 per hour
