Catering Department Internship Program
The Catering and Culinary program at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre has been showcased and celebrated as one of the most unique and accomplished programs of its kind in Canada and around the world.

As a Catering Intern at the MTCC you will have an exceptional and distinctive opportunity to work and learn with our Catering department team. Take part in the planning and coordination of a wide range of client events and programs from large International Conferences and Conventions to Toronto's most high profile and enviable annual Galas and Fundraising spectacles.
Learn how the largest and busiest venue in the country brings hundreds of employees together every day to bring to life our clients' visions and their guests' awesome experiences.
Design room layouts for a dinner for 5,000 attendees, plan an intimate VIP reception with an A-list performer, or host a menu tasting in our specially designed Taste Kitchen for Barack Obama's luncheon. All of this and more can be your experience and your opportunity in the MTCC Catering Department Internship Program.
This position wants someone who is outgoing, enthusiastic and looking to learn as much as they can during their stay in our care. Someone who wants to learn how to interact comfortably and confidently with many other internal departments and outside suppliers & partners in a large organization.
Someone who is ready to experience and see for themselves what a professional, polished and supportive position in a successful Catering Department and Food & Beverage program looks like.
And who knows, someone who may well find a place to call their work home for a time as they embark on their own journey.
Job Skills and Requirements
Applicants should be an active student in an eligible co-op program.
What We Offer
Throughout the co-op placement period, the Catering Department Intern will have the opportunity to grow in a fast paced work environment. The student will not only be able to develop valuable skills and knowledge, but also network with industry professionals. In addition, the position enables exposure to a unique hospitality culture where our people are at the core.
