If you share our values and would like to work with skilled professionals, Armour is presently seeking a **Houseperson at The Barrington Hotel**.

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, this individual will be responsible for the public areas of the Hotel. The first impression is a lasting impression. The moment our guests enter the hotel through glass doors into the welcoming lobby needs to be perfect.

**As Houseperson, you’ll get to**:

- Clean and maintain our public areas: lobby, restaurant, pool, guest corridors
- Report any damage of flooring surfaces, carpets, and upholsteries
- Ensure the use of cleaning chemicals is according to the instructions set by the hotel
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of cleaning equipment
- Report any unusual and suspicious behaviour of guests or staff
- Conduct duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with hotel policies and procedures, ensuring that the highest level of service and communication is maintained
- Comply with all hotel standards and Procedures
- Actively promote a courteous work environment, for guests and associates alike
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned
- Ensure compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within the workplace

**What we’re looking for**:

- Previous cleaning experience
- Knowledge of various types of cleaning equipment such as floor scrubber, shampooer
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work different shifts.
- Motivated, detail orientated and organized individual, with a strong work ethic and the ability to excel in a face paced environment.
- Must be able to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to make repeated and continued movements of the shoulders, elbows and hands (below waist and overhead movement) as well as use various cleaning equipment and chemicals.
