AltaGas - Analyst, Commercial Development
Our Commercial Development group is looking for an Analyst to join the team. Reporting to the Team Lead, you will be joining a team that is focused on providing value to our current customers, evaluates new business opportunities, and collaborates successfully with other groups in the company.
You Will:
- Support complex modeling, annual budgets and strategic plans for assigned areas of responsibility within the Midstream group- Monitor and effectively communicate industry activity- Manage daily, weekly and monthly contractual requirements for assigned area of responsibility that requires regular interaction between internal and external stakeholders- Forge & manage customer relationships and contracts for assigned areas of responsibility- Manage various reporting functions including gas and liquids forecasting as well as operating expense reporting with an aim to optimize and enhance processes- Liaise with internal and external groups on projects that optimize AltaGas assets- Work with a high performing team of marketers, analysts, operations personnel, and schedulers- Maintain a strong understanding of current news and events that affect natural gas liquids, natural gas, and crude oil markets and their potential impacts on AltaGas’ business
You Have:
- Relevant university degree in either Commerce, Economics, Finance, or Engineering- Up to 3 years of relevant experience in the energy industry with knowledge of Midstream business strongly preferred;- Commercial background would be an asset- Advanced skills in: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PoPowerPoint, PowerBI, GeoScout- Strong attention to detail, proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet critical deadlines- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Superior oral, written and interpersonal communication skills- Motivated individual able to contribute both individually and as a team player with multiple priorities and tasks in a fast paced environment
