Choices Market's Burnaby Production Facility on Marine Way, near Boundary Road, has an opening for an experienced Sanitation Specialist. Our production facility is only a few years old and boasts an impressive array of Deli and Bakery Foods operations and we need your help. The ideal applicant is someone looking to help us evolve our systems, responsibilities, approach and schedule with an eye to a potential future leadership opportunity.

Must be able to work evenings and weekends both independently and with others.

The Sanitation Specialist's responsibilities include:

- Ensuring daily cleaning and sanitation of all food processing areas, washrooms, walls and floors within the facility.
- Following and executing extra cleaning as scheduled/required including ceilings, equipment, shelves, etc.
- Executing all sanitation as required in a safe and thorough manner consistent with HACCPs (hazard analysis critical control points) and SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).
- Extra duties as requested.

Qualifications:

- Building Service Worker Certification
- WHMIS Certification
- Food Safe certification Level 1
- 2+ years' work experience in a food processing facility is preferred;
- Experience working with sanitizers including bleach considered an asset;
- Working knowledge of standard janitorial equipment is required;
- Attention to detail
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Ability to lift up to 25kg

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
