Choices Market's Burnaby Production Facility on Marine Way, near Boundary Road, has an opening for a Sanitation Specialist. Our production facility is only a few years old and boasts an impressive array of Deli and Bakery Foods operations.

The successful applicant must be able to work evenings (not overnight) and weekends both independently and with others.

The Sanitation Specialist's responsibilities include:

- Ensuring daily cleaning and sanitation of all food processing areas, washrooms, walls and floors within the facility.
- Following and executing extra cleaning as scheduled/required including ceilings, equipment, shelves, etc.
- Executing all sanitation as required in a safe and thorough manner consistent with HACCPs (hazard analysis critical control points) and SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).
- Extra duties as requested.

Qualifications:

- Food Safe certification Level 1;
- 1-2 years' work experience in a food processing facility is preferred;
- Experience working with sanitizers including bleach considered an asset;
- Working knowledge of standard janitorial equipment is required;
- Attention to detail
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.25 per hour
