Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Recreation Coordinator catering to kids aged 4-8.

**Basketball experience is NOT required for this position**

This position is focused on planning fun, non-basketball related recreational activities for our Junior Hoops programs for athletes in Pre K - Grade 1.

**Responsibilities**:
Program Facilitation:

- Plan and conduct age-appropriate and fun activities for children aged 4-8. These do not have to be basketball-related, and should be rec focused such as tag games, movement activities, and socialization games
- Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during program hours.
- Maintain a secure and controlled environment, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Effectively communicate with parents, providing updates on program activities and children's progress.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and enjoyable experience for participants.

This position is part-time/ casual, and will take place at the following times:

- Sundays: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- Wednesdays: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Qualifications:

- Experience working with children, particularly in a sports or recreational setting.
- Knowledge of basic basketball skills and the ability to teach them to young children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
