We are a highly collaborative team that takes “pride in protection” as we continue to provide healthcare and other professionals with some of the most reliable personal protective equipment and infection control products in the world. **The Opportunity**: - Under the supervision of the VP Manufacturing Group, the Coordinator - Environment & Sustainability coordinates all environmental requirements in collaboration with the project management team. The incumbent plays a key role in helping the company meet its environmental protection commitments during the development of manufacturing facilities and during their operations. - The incumbent is expected to work closely with stakeholders and specialists assigned to the project. The incumbent is also expected to keep abreast of the latest developments in environmental protection requirements and to advise the company on the best way to meet these requirements. **What You Will Bring**: - Knowledge of the construction industry (an asset); - Have a good understanding of the environmental issues and impacts facing the Construction and Manufacturing industry; - Knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations; - Mastery of Microsoft Office software; - Excellent command of French and English (verbal and written). - Ability to work rigorously and have good judgment; - Demonstrated great versatility, initiative and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team; - Strong organizational skills and autonomy; - Strong research, analytical and report writing skills. - Strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills; - Demonstrate positivism and a constructive, solution-oriented approach. - Ability to maintain high standards to deliver a project on time. - Have a university degree in the field of the environment, sustainable development, or a similar field; - At least 8 years of experience in the environmental field, including 5 years in a manufacturing environment. **What You Will Do**: - Manage the environmental requirements of major manufacturing projects, both during construction and operations; - Obtain environmental permits and authorizations when required; - Develop and implement a standard environmental management system (EMS) and support the implementation at the sites; - Ensure environmental compliance of the work and during manufacturing operations, be the technical support resource for the various sites; - Collaborate with the project's construction manager for the allocation of required environmental resources; - Support the sites for environmental authorizations and permits within the required timeframe; - Identify and obtain/recommend the human and material resources necessary to ensure and maintain environmental protection programs; - Track and implement conditions and requirements associated with permits, authorizations, laws, regulations and contractual documents; - Define an EMS plan based on the ISO 14001:2015 standard and support the deployment across all sites; - Write and support the action plan for the protection of the environment; - Support and be the leader for activities related to sustainable development in the different sites. **Equal Opportunity**: Take your career to the next level at Medicom **Pourquoi se joindre à notre équipe ?**: Chez Medicom, nous avons créé un environnement de travail inclusif et diversifié où chaque employé est apprécié pour les compétences et les perspectives uniques qu'il apporte à l'équipe.
