**The Opportunity**:

If so, we would love to hear from you Natural Factors is currently looking for a Site Health and Safety Advisor to help drive safety culture at our Lower Mainland production facilities of nutraceutical goods. As a Site Health and Safety Advisor, you support departments to help minimize the risk of job-related accidents. People are passionate about safety in our organization, so besides doing inspections, performing risk assessments, and assisting with accident investigation, most of your time will be spent engaging people through facility walkthroughs and collaborating with management, supervisors, and employees in successful implementation of the Health & Safety program.
**In this role you will**:
- Act as the primary point of contact for the area(s) of responsibility and collaborate with operational personnel to ensure hazards and risks are identified, reported and managed
- Meet with managers and supervisors when necessary to advise on ways to ensure accident prevention and injury management procedures are implemented in their area(s) of responsibilities
- Coordinate and analyze incident root cause and recommend corrective action
- Work closely with local regulatory bodies and safety consultants to ensure the Health & Safety program is well coordinated and professionally administered
- Maintain accurate and updated injury and incident records, compile trends and use data to support safety objectives
- Work and communicate with plant staff to ensure first aid coverage and ongoing management of the first aid program
- Lead and guide the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee, provide feedback and guidance on Health & Safety program and safety culture improvement
**You Have**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety from an accredited institution, or other related field
- Minimum 3-5+ years working experience in Health & Safety and/or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment leading safety on the front lines
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Regulation and Act, building codes, ISO 45001 and COR/OSSE
- Experience in manufacturing or a related industry would be an asset
- Ability to effectively present to, coach, train and educate others
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Valid driver’s license - Must be willing to travel to other locations and work flexible hours as necessary
