**_Human Resource Manager Job Description: _**

**_Duties and Responsibilities: _**
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Manage the recruitment and selection process from job postings through to employee contracts
- Create and implement an employee onboarding and orientation program
- Develop and participate in employee development, needs assessment, and training programs
- Oversee all aspects of the OH&S program in consultation with OH&S Coordinator
- Coach managers to resolve employee relations issues. Provide training for performance management, conflict resolution, discipline and conduct terminations
- Work with our Payroll Manager to maintain payroll and employee benefits programs
- Nurture a positive working environment
- Report to executive team and provide decision support through HR metrics
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
- Assist the President and Vice President of Store Operations on initiatives

**_Education, Skills and Abilities: _**
- Experience as a strategic HR leader within a dynamic environment, combined with 5_+ years of experience in Human Resources_
- Experience with Avanti HRIS and Payroll system would be considered an asset
- Completion of a degree in HR Management, or equivalent; CPHR an asset
- You are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who takes ownership and flourishes in an ever-changing environment.
- You are approachable, and comfortable building trust across all layers of the business.
