**About the opportunity: Purchasing Coordinator (12-14 month contract)**

We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to join our supply chain team. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your experience and to contribute to the growth and development of our team.

In this role you will be responsible for:

- Determining and fulfilling all appropriate purchasing needs using SAP
- Communication with appropriate departments regarding change to their order status and follow ups
- Expediting orders, tracking late deliveries and negotiating returns on defective materials
- Sourcing alternative materials to help reduce cost/lead-time
- Maintaining all purchasing information within SAP: including source lists, information records, vendors and any other appropriate information
- Maintaining and updating SalesForce with vendor information and statistics
- Creating/preparing various reports, as required
- Negotiating price and reviewing quality of product with vendors to ensure the best quality and best purchasing price is being maintained from vendors
- Following up with vendors to ensure timely delivery
- Developing vendor relationships

**Qualifications & Experience**:
Additionally, you will have the ability to work in a productive team environment, with mínimal supervision. The capacity to handle, organize, and coordinate multiple projects at once will be paramount to your success in this role.
