Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated **Class 8 Shop Foreman** to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be the heart of our new service shop, leading a team of skilled technicians and ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality repair and maintenance of Class 6-7 and 8 all makes trucks.

**Responsibilities**:
**Supervisory and Leadership**
- Directly supervise and manage a team of truck technicians, detailer, shop help, assigning tasks and mentoring progress.
- Work with service manager to plan and implement company goals and targets.
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians, assisting with complex repairs and troubleshooting.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and develop training plans.
- Reviewing techs story writing skills, training them to be effective on the story writings
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns promptly and professionally.
- Schedule and assign work to ensure efficient, productivity, smooth workflow and timely completion of repairs with minimum downtime.
- Work with Advisors to schedule and prioritize repair and maintenance repair orders to maximize efficiency and downtime.
- Monitor shop capacity and resource allocation to ensure timely completion.
- Manage and track shop productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor and maintain shop tools and equipment.
- Coordinate with service writers and parts department for smooth workflow.
- Build clear and clean estimates.
- Ensuring all the tools and equipment in the shop are up to date with the maintenance /tool’s calibration etc.
- Monitor special tool room for proper inventory and upkeep.

**Technical Expertise**
- Possess in depth knowledge of class 8 Mack truck systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Stay up to date on the latest Mack truck technologies and repair procedures and communicate them to team.
- Ensure technicians adhere to Mack Factory repair procedures and specifications.
- Train and mentor team members on proper techniques for operating machinery and performing repairs.
- Perform quality control checks on work performed to achieve 100% first time right repairs.
- Provide guidance and support to technicians on complex repairs and troubleshooting.

**Safety and Compliance**
- Enforce all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized shop.
- Ensure compliance with environment, hazardous material, and DOT regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, meetings, and address any safety concerns.

**Customer Service**
- Address customer concerns and provide technical explanations as needed.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to the customers’ satisfaction.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a shop foreman or lead technician in a heavy truck repair environment, preferably Mack Trucks.
- Strong Technical knowledge on class 8 Trucks.
- Excellent leadership, communications, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in diagnostic tools and software
- Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license
- Mack Specific training and certifications are a huge plus
- Must be flexible with work schedule and hours

**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to stand, bend and kneel for extended periods

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- Day shift
