**Job Purpose**

The **Communications and Engagement Coordinator **will play a crucial role in promoting BBB’s mission, programs, and services. You will work closely with our marketing, communications, and engagement teams to develop content and communications that support our business objectives. Working with the Manager of Marketing & Communications, the Communications and Engagement Coordinator will develop and execute communications and engagement strategies by creating compelling and effective content and communications that align with our strategy and resonates with our target audiences.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Content and Communications**
- Developing a deep understanding of our mission, values, services, audience, and marketing strategy
- Writing, design, and layout of two monthly newsletters which reach more than 10,000 readers each month.
- Track and analyze the performance of communications and create reports with recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Working with the Manager of Marketing & Communications to, create thought leadership and content for a variety of communications channels.
- Collaborating with internal teams to identify communications needs and opportunities, planning three months in advance, and developing content plans that align with our objectives
- Staying up to date on industry trends and best practices to create cutting-edge, effective content and communications.
- Editing and proofreading content to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with our brand voice and tone

**Social Media Management**
- Managing our online communities including the creation and management of social media platforms.
- Writing, graphic design, photography and videography for social media and other communications as required throughout the year.
- Tracking and analyzing social media analytics and reporting with recommendations for continuous improvement.

**Events & Engagement**
- Planning and coordinating of events including creating and sending invitations, managing RSVPs, and graphics, coordinating with presenters, photo/video content for social and marketing purposes, managing social media and conducting follow up with attendees.
- Working with the Manager of Community Education and Outreach to support outreach events including coordinating and communicating with community on volunteer opportunities for members, staff, and community partners.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in marketing and communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt writing styles to different formats and audiences.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Experience in Adobe, Canva, and social media platforms.
- Experience in event planning and coordination for the purpose of marketing or community engagement will be considered an asset.

**Working Conditions**:

- Occasional lifting is required for items less than 20 lbs.
- **A valid driver’s license and access to a working vehicle is required.**

Pay: $42,000.00-$46,000.00 per year
