**Overview**

**Duties**
- Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, loaders, and Caterpillar machinery to perform excavation, grading, and paving tasks.
- Dig trenches and holes as required for various construction projects, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment, performing basic repairs and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Assist with horizontal drilling operations, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and according to plan.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring all equipment is stored properly after use.
- Assist in the setup and teardown of construction sites as needed.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience operating a wide range of heavy equipment, including but not limited to backhoes, loaders, Bobcats, skid steers, wheel loaders, cranes, boom lifts, zoom booms, pavers, excavators, bulldozers, and other specialized machinery.
- Demonstrated expertise in safely and efficiently handling various equipment for tasks such as excavation, grading, material handling, lifting, and site preparation across diverse construction and industrial environments.
- Strong mechanical skills for troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance and repairs on equipment.
- Additional Skills:

- Familiarity with excavation, grading, and paving processes.
- Experience in horizontal drilling operations is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to following safety practices and job site protocols.
- Certifications:

- Valid Heavy Equipment Operator Certification or equivalent.
- Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 preferred).
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.

**Work Environment**
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform physical labor, including digging, lifting, and operating heavy machinery.
- Exposure to various weather conditions and physical job site environments.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection is mandatory.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
