Applications are invited for the position of Manager, Student Engagement in the Athletics and Student Engagement Division, located at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus. The salary range is $69,600 to $87,001 for a 35 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Developing, implementing and managing operational policies, procedures, and programs for the efficient and effective operation of the college's student engagement department, while ensuring professionalism and full compliance with current legislation requirements
- Supervising the student engagement team while providing leadership in student engagement at Niagara College, including managing the hiring process, training new staff and liaising with all departments within the college
- Managing the development of effective practices and innovative programming to ensure the efficient delivery of accessible services and programs, maximizing student success outside of the classroom
- Developing and implementing a strategic communication and student engagement plan, strategizing with departments across the college and using all communication mediums to promote student engagement, satisfaction and retention
- Collaborating with on and off campus strategic partners in support of co-curricular development of students
- Representing, communicating and collaborating with the college community, federal and provincial governments and legal communities

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum three (3) year diploma/degree in Social Sciences, Business, Marketing or similar field of study
- Minimum five (5) years experience in a supervisory or leadership role; experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset
- Certificate in Adult Learning is considered an asset
- Proven conflict resolution and team building skills
- Proven experience with Human Resources practices
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff from diverse backgrounds
- Strong financial and budget management skills
- Demonstrated experience in student engagement app creation and/or management of software databases
