**Operations Manager Opportunity**: Do you have experience in Canada managing hotels? Are you interested in launching and operating new hotels in Montreal and Quebec city as Canadian Hire #1? Look no further We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as an Operations Manager in both Montreal and Quebec City. **In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating all aspects of Sosuite's hotel, short-term rental, and apartment management operations in Montreal and Quebec City as first and most senior Canadian hire.** Bring your skills, motivation, and determination to make a significant impact on our team and the industry.
**Who we're looking for**:
- A team player who is hungry for career advancement within the Hospitality and Operations field.
- Bi-lingual in French and English
- Someone who is eager to learn, adapt quickly, and get the job done.
- Preferred: A 2- or 4-year degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or a related field. However, extensive hotel or short term rental experience may be accepted instead.
- Minimum of 5 years experience managing hotel operations or short term rentals
- Experience managing hotels as a General Manager, Director of Operations, or similar
- A successful track record of launching new hotel or apartment properties (preferred)
- Availability to work weekends
- Possession of a valid passport and ability to occasionally travel to the United States (preferred)
- Based in Montreal and able to travel to Quebec City for extended periods
- A resilient individual with a collaborative attitude and a good amount of grit and determination.

**What you'll be doing at Sosuite**:
- Work 5 days per week in both Montreal and Quebec City, including weekends as needed
- Lead operations in Montreal at a small hotel by hiring, firing, coaching, and directing Housekeeping, Concierge, Engineering, and other departments
- Work with the hotel ownership group to make major property improvements by engaging with contractors
- Collaborate closely with senior management to solve problems and execute meticulous operations.
- Directly lead a team of hotel employees, including housekeeping, maintenance, and concierge
- Generate weekly and monthly reports using spreadsheets and other tools.
- Develop a sound operating model and adapt Sosuite standards for the Canadian market
- Launch a new property in Quebec City and set up operations for success
- Travel between Montreal and Quebec City as needed to effectively operate properties in both cities
- Review invoices and submit budget requests
- Work closely with Sosuite's Central Operations to maintain inventory
- Communicate with guests and residents both virtually and in person, resolving issues promptly and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
**What You Need to Be Successful**:
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Availability to travel frequently to Quebec City
- Exceptional technological proficiency.
- Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to reach, kneel, and bend.
- Capability to lift, push, and pull required loads, including navigating several flights of stairs (usually weighing around 50 lbs).
