We are looking for a garden crew member to be part of a team caring for beautiful gardens. This could be the job for you if you like to work outside in a small team, bring a great attitude, and want to learn about gardening. With experience, there is the opportunity to be a crew lead.

Crew members will drive to each job site with company-provided tools _in their own vehicle (you will be reimbursed for km)_. You will work with other gardeners focusing on garden and planter care. You may visit between 3-4 gardens per day so there is lots of variety.

**TIMING: April/May - End of Oct/ 1st week November, weather dependant**

**What you will do**:

- Care for gardens as directed by your crew lead: garden clean ups, plant care (dead heading, pest & disease control, division, support) weeding, fertilization, soil amendments, light pruning and bed edging, and putting gardens to bed
- Prepare & top-dress beds (that means using a wheelbarrow)
- Plant shrubs, perennials and bulbs
- Keep your tools clean and sharp
- Great work to impress our clients
- Respect your leads, coworkers, clients, and work practices

**What you need to have in order to do it**:

- Ability to take direction and then work relatively independently
- Good physical condition - healthy knees and back, some repetitive motions, able to lift and carry 50lbs of soil and push wheelbarrows of compost
- Curiosity about gardening
- Proper workwear for various types of weather
- Own vehicle, gloves, and face masks (you will be reimbursed for km, we know gas is expensive)

**About the Job**:
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 44 per week
