The Gardening Crew Leader is a challenging and rewarding role in our organization. Your role is as follows:
1. **Perform and train** all aspects of garden bed maintenance:

- Weeding - Weed I.D., Weed control
- Pruning - proper pruning techniques
- Hedge Trimming, Dead-wooding and shaping
- Fertilizing
- Compost and Mulch installation
- Renovating and Rejuvenating Gardens
- Annuals planting
- Workplace Safety

2. **Communicate, Estimate and Delegate**
- **Communicate** - with clients and employees - scheduling of both
- **Estimate** - the time it will take to perform the work as well as providing product installation (ie Mulch and Compost) estimates to new and existing clients.
- **Delegate**:

- tasks and give crews direction for each day's work. Manage the schedule during rain days.

3. **Other Responsibilities**
- Perform Maintenance on your division’s equipment when called upon (ie cleaning pruning tools). Maintain maintenance records. Truck pre trips.
- Adhere to and teach company’s mission and climate goals. Adhere to and coach all company policies and procedures. Lead by example. Adhere to all safety and equipment policies and procedures.

You Need:

- Superior Organizational, Customer Service and Leadership skills
- Experience with all aspects of Garden Bed Maintenance
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude, while focusing on quality and making sure that you and the team are accountable
- A clean driving record - Full Class 5
- A Minimum of 2 years Gardening Experience

Preference will be given to those applicants with not only landscape maintenance experience, but proven superior customer service, communication and organizational skills.

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- Extended health care

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Gardending: 2 years (required)
