The South West Regional Cancer Program (SWRCP) oversees the delivery and quality of all cancer services within the counties of Grey, Bruce, Huron, Perth, Middlesex, Oxford, Elgin, and part of Norfolk. We are one of 14 Regional Cancer Programs created by Ontario Health - Cancer Care Ontario in 2005 to ensure the goals and objectives of the Ontario Cancer Plan are enacted locally and that cancer care is delivered according to province-wide quality standards. We are dedicated to ensuring a high quality, accessible regional cancer system for residents of the South West region. **Job Summary**:
**What the Role is**
The Manager, Person-Centred Care, as a leader within the South West Regional Cancer Program (SWRCP) is responsible and accountable for the development, implementation and evaluation of strategies to influence the cancer patient experience across the full continuum of care. The Manager will also represent the SWRCP while participating in the development and implementation of elements of Ontario Health - Cancer Care Ontario’s annual provincial and regional work plans involving:
- Psychosocial Oncology
- Patient Education
- Survivorship
- Patient Reported Outcomes and Symptom management, and
- Patient Experience and Engagement.
Reporting to the Director, Regional Cancer Services, the Manager directs, controls and evaluates the delivery of all aspects of person centred care within cancer care services. They are responsible for translating decisions of the program leadership into execution, by utilizing relationship management and working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the necessary outcomes. The Manager ensures all operations are aligned and working together to successfully achieve strategic objectives.
This role is accountable for the management of human and material resources, development and support of a healthy workplace, risk and utilization measurements, and facilitation of improvement initiatives and change management, while operating within approved operational budgets and financial guidelines and controls. A major focus of the role is fostering effective working relationships and networks across the organization and throughout the region.
