We are currently seeking a
**Senior Air Quality Specialist **to work out of our office in
**Mississauga**, ON.

**Responsibilities**:

- Consistently executing prescribed technical procedures, safe work practices and work plans in a safe, efficient manner under all applicable regulatory requirements and contract specifications.
- Tests and measures air quality, and investigates dust, odour, etc.
- Prepare air quality monitoring reports
- Reviews inspection reports and documentation and recommends appropriate enforcement and actions.
- Inspects, evaluates, and documents emission sources to determine compliance with air pollution control laws and regulations.
- Conduct air quality field tests and air quality impact analysis.
- Prepare air-emission inventories and organize and interpret data from monitoring sites.
- Interacting with clients, regulators, and subcontractors regularly, including presenting and discussing outcomes with clients and project teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to carry out assignments with mínimal supervision.
- Participating in project management meetings.
- Assisting with networking initiatives to develop new business and client relationships.
- Remaining current with new advancements in the industry and being flexible to travel to various locations.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 10 years of work-related experience in Air Quality
- A Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree from a recognized university with specialization in chemical, civil, or environmental engineering.
- Experience in predicting the greenhouse gas emission implications of transportation alternatives.
- Experience in designing and evaluating appropriate air quality impact mitigation for transportation projects.
- Experience utilizing scientifically approved dispersion models, such as CAL3QHC and CAL3QHCR, and vehicle emission models, such as MOVES.
- Experience in the determination of existing ambient air quality and exceedances in ambient air quality criteria prescribed by municipal, provincial and/or national.
- Experience in Air Quality Sensitive Receptor identification, assessment of impacts, and the identification of mitigation measures.
- Solid understanding of federal, Ontario and municipal laws and regulations as they pertain to Air Quality
- Ability to liaise with other specialty consultants, contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to complex topics and concepts, working independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently problem-solve, tackle new assignments and multi-task in a busy work environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to perform detailed analysis in various software programs.
- Valid provincial driver’s license required.
